Thrombocytosis

Image of Blood Platelets

December 20, 2010

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a 62 year old female who was diagnosed with thrombocytosis three years ago. This is a disease where the bone marrow produces too many platelets placing the patient at risk for stroke or other blood clot issues. A normal platelet level is below 400, but my level has been well over 500 for the last ten years, and hovering around the danger zone of 600 since I have been under the care of a hematologist. For a patient like me, in good general health otherwise, once the level gets over 600, medication in the form of an oral chemo is prescribed. Someone with other health factors would need medication at much lower levels.

Without changing anything else in my regimen, I began taking six ounces of Stockton fresh frozen aloe vera gel daily for the past month. My recent blood work showed my platelet level to be 480 after a month on aloe. As I continue to take the aloe daily, I expect my levels to continue to drop down to normal. In addition to affecting the platelet level, an unexpected result, my typical gastritis has not caused me any discomfort. I would say the healing benefits of the aloe are clearly to be credited for these excellent results.

Sincerely,
