Unlike "whole leaf" aloe vera juice, our aloe vera gel comes from filets from the leaves of the plant. The filets are rinsed to minimize any aloin content that may have leaked from the outer leaf in the filet process. The filets are then strained to prevent the gel from being diluted with water. Only after this are the aloe filets grinded to a consistency suitable for drinking. The outer leaves and juice from the outer leaf have NOT been used in the production of our gel.

Stockton Aloe 1 freezes the precious gel to preserve the nutrient qualities. Preservatives, including ascorbic acid, can damage the precious mucopolysaccharides. We do NOT add preservatives to the precious gel.

Aloe grows rather easily in the proper climate. With it's thick skin, the plant does not require pesticides like many other plant foods. It is rather common for aloe vera plants to be grown organically, though few aloe companies, including Stockton Aloe 1, have become certified organic as this would add to the production costs of the product.
